Generally passports must be valid at least 6 months after your return date. Make a photocopy of the information page and keep it with your belongings but not in the same place as your passport. In case your passport is lost or stolen while traveling, it is recommended you pack three extra passport photos to expedite the reissuing process at any U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
